Job Description

We are seeking a Career Consultant to support job seekers in achieving meaningful employment. This role focuses on case management, career coaching, and connecting individuals to training and resources that address barriers to employment. The ideal candidate can manage a caseload while providing personalized, goal-driven support from assessment through job placement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for job seekers, providing structured case management and resources.
  • Conduct screenings to assess eligibility, service needs, and program placement.
  • Develop, monitor, and update individualized employment plans with clear goals and timelines.
  • Provide job placement assistance, referrals, and ongoing career coaching.
  • Connect participants to training, support services, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate, timely case documentation to ensure program compliance.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and consistent communication.
  • Facilitate orientations, presentations, and participate in outreach activities.
  • Review labor market trends to identify high-demand industries and career pathways.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of two years' experience in workforce development or case management.
  • Knowledge of WIOA, labor market trends, and employment support resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce systems (e.g., Maryland Workforce Exchange).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
